A week full of audio tapes, corruption blames and hard words - 2.3.2014

Well, well, this week has been full of audio tapes, corruption blames and hard words.

I only read English newspapers since my Turkish is limited, so I may get a wrong impression, but here is my summary after this week. I just observe, I do not judge.

At a tape from December 17th the Prime Minister talks with his son.

The Prime Minister state that the tape is false and a product of one of the many lobbies operating in Turkey.

In addition the Prime Minister see the wire tapping as a more serious problem

Another important event was the change of the appointment of HSYK (the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors). After this a new secretary general was appointed and hundreds of service men dismissed.

This week also all suspected in the corruption case from December 17th were released. So let’s wait for the trial.

As a last small issue the newspaper «Today Zaman» is not distributed on the flights with Turkish Airlines. “Today Zaman” is close to the Gülen movement.

Have a nice Sunday
